National Youth Day Celebration 2025

National Youth Day, celebrated on January 12th every year in India, commemorates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, one of the most revered spiritual leaders and philosophers of India. The day was declared as National Youth Day by the Government of India in 1985 to honor his vision of empowering youth and his contributions to the nation’s cultural and spiritual resurgence. Swami Vivekananda's teachings emphasized self-reliance, discipline, and the importance of education, urging the youth to work towards the nation’s progress.

In today’s context, National Youth Day serves as a reminder of the potential of young people in shaping the future of the country. With the youth constituting a significant portion of the population, it is crucial to channel their energy and creativity towards constructive goals. The day inspires young minds to pursue their passions, embrace challenges, and contribute meaningfully to society, fostering a generation of informed, responsible, and capable individuals.

This year, Vigyan Bharati Charitable Trust is planning to organise the National Youth Day Celebration 2025 on 12th January in Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. Young people who have excel in various field and empowering the nation will be honoured on this day to achieve the vision of Swami Vivekananda Ji. The main event will be distribution of National Youth Prize 2024 to 30 young individuals excellent in various fields from various states of India.

Rashtriya Yuva Ratna 2025 (National Youth Prize 2025) Award Ceremony - Nomination Criteria

The National Youth Prize 2025 aims to recognize and honor the exceptional contributions of young people who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and social impact in various fields. The award seeks to inspire and encourage youth to actively participate in shaping a better future for the nation.

Award will be given in various categories like 1) Art & Culture, 2) Sports, 3) Education, 4) Social Work & 5) Environment from various states of India on 12th January 2025.

Criteria for Nomination

  1. Age Group: Nominees must be between the ages of 18 and 29 years.
  2. Contributions: Nominees should have shown exceptional work in areas such as education, social service, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, technology, arts, or sports.
  3. Impact: The nominee's work must have had a measurable, positive impact on society or their community.
  4. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate others towards common goals.
  5. Innovative Solutions: The nominee should showcase creative or innovative approaches to solving contemporary challenges.

Why the National Youth Prize?

The National Youth Prize provides a platform to acknowledge the untapped potential of young individuals who are leading change in society. It highlights the diverse contributions of the youth, fostering a sense of pride and motivation among young people to work toward the nation's development.
