The Industry Institute Interface (III) has prepared a company database that contains details about reputed industries and R&D organizations of the country and abroad. This is also regularly being updated with inputs from various sources. It primarily looks into the Placement activities, Summer Training Programs, Professional Development Programs etc.
The cell maintains a branch-wise record of all students that includes individual career growth including both weaknesses and strength collected from past and current performance. Based on the same the department faculties in association with the T& P cell tries to improvise the qualities in the poor performers. Based on the requirements prescribed by the company, the eligible candidates are invited for appearing for the test/interviews that are conducted by the visiting companies. Need based value added courses have been included besides offering the BPUT curriculum. Such courses include: Oracle 9I, JAVA, .Net, C, C++, and BEC etc. Invitations are in the process to be sent to the prospective companies / organizations along with all relevant information to participate in the campus recruitment. Regular correspondence is maintained with various industries. Personal visits by the Training and Placement Officer, to many companies also serves to build and maintain relations with the companies.
Any Industrial Training Programme provides /educates pre-professional work experience with specific responsibilities /assignments. Undoubtedly, it is relevant to student's student's personal career interest associated with the BPUT curriculum and in fact it creates a bridge with the curriculum. A study tour is a travel experience with specific learning goals. The learning goals of each study tour vary, but are always spelled out in the course syllabus that is distributed to each learner. Study tours emphasize experiential learning and offer both group and self-directed activities that enable learners to explore new territories, cultures, and people. Different branches of engineering. Training the students for different skill set is an important requirement. Thrust is being given imparting training to the students by the expert trainers at different stages of their academic carrier. In the first year, the students are exposed to spoken English and in second year they are given training in computer skill like C, C++. In the 3rd & 4th year students are given training in their relevant discipline as per the need and requirement. The training is imparted in GSM technology,. Net, Java and networking technology. Continuous skill up-gradation helps the students to face the placement interview. Students are exposed for pre placement training on quantitative aptitude, logical Reasoning and in group discussion mock interview in the pre final year.
Training programs are held for students for the campus placement from the first day. This entails a specially designed training program which assesses the requirements for each students and then provides them specific training program to surmount their area of difficulty. We envision that our students with enough training would be perfectly geared to meet the high industry standard and are productive from day one in the industry.
Placement cell arranges personality development programmes, soft skills, training programmes throughout the Course. In addition, technical skills and several other value added programmes, related to recent development, are also conducted to upgrade student's technical knowledge to meet out the employment opportunities.
