Chetan Bhagat's Visit to Hi-Tech Group

 
Sri Chetan Bhagat an eminent popular novelist in India who rose to fame with his first novel Five Point Someone which has given release to a movie "3 Idiots" and brought him to a climax of recognition . He won the society young achievers award (2004) and publishers recognition award (2005). He is not only a known figure in India but also in abroad. Presently Sri Bhagat is settled at Mumbai and apart from writing novels being his hobby; he is a columnist in Hindi "Daily Dainika Bhaskar". Learned Chetan Bhagat has kindly consented to visit our Hi-Tech group on 10/03/2011 & 11/03/2011 and desired to have interaction with the students of different streams of Hi-Tech Group of Institutions in form of question and answer pertaining to Human Resources, Technology, Management and Personality Development etc.

 
     
 

VISIT OF CHETAN BHAGAT ON 10TH MARCH FOR UTOPIA-11 AND TECHNOVATION-11

Chetan  Bhagat, columnist, reviewer and author does not claim to be anything but an entertaining and accessible writer. Chetan Bhagat’s works in general are positive and ambivalent. His significance is not only in how he writes, but also in the fact that an audience exists in his piece of writing. Mr. Bhgat touched the emotive cords of our students as he caught something of the tech atmosphere with his skewed gender ratios and his tunnel vision bright kids. Mr. Bhgat’s message to the students was, to do what their heart said-“Know what you want and stick to your decision”. This was basically the centrifugal force of his address to our students. Mr. Bhagat peppered the students with his quick wit and introduced his national integration angle. Chetan Bhagat’s visit to HIT on 10th March 2011

  
 

  • Central Library inaugurated by Sri Chetan Bhagat in the Presence of  Hon’ble Chairman , Hi-Tech Group, Dr. Tirupati Panigrahi and in the presence of Sri Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi,  Hon’ble Director , Hi-Tech Group. Along with this Sri Bhagat unveiled the image of Goddess Saraswati inside the central Library.
  • Student interaction followed by book shining. In HIT conference hall Sri Chetan Bhagat started interacting with the students for 7-8 minutes. During his interaction he told, “When is your exam? , I think you are free from all those hassles and you all are in flying colours to celebrate your cultural week ahead. I have a very little time today as I have to present at KIST as the Chief Guest. After this visit when I will get time definitely I will visit your college.” Mr. Deepak Pradhan & Ipsita Mishra of 3rd year ECE had taken autograph from this wizard. After this Mr. Bhagat was felicitated with Shawl, flower bouquet and with a memento by Hon’ble Chairman, Hi-Tech Group, Dr. Tirupati Panigrahi and in the presence of Sri Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi, Hon’ble Director, Hi-Tech Group and around 237 students present to witness this ever beautiful event.
  • HIT E-Club inaugurated by Sri Chetan Bhagat in the Presence of  Hon’ble Chairman , Hi-Tech Group, Dr. Tirupati Panigrahi and in the presence of Sri Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi,  Hon’ble Director , Hi-Tech Group.
  • Sri Chetan Bhagat was assisted by Dr. Tirupati Panigrahi, Hon’ble Chairman, Hi-Tech Group & Sri Rupesh Panigrahi, Hon’ble Director, Hi-Tech Group and they started for KIST at 7PM.
